Ben Ellison over at Panbo got his hands on one of the new NMEA 2000 multidisplays from Maretron and has set up a test bench to evaluate it in the shop and on the water. He also had a surprisingly pleasant experience hooking it up to the latest Simrad and Raymarine multifunction devices, i.e. they just worked!

Not only do both the Raymarine E120 and Simrad CX34 read most all the 2000 data from the Maretron sensors, but if I pull the plug on the Maretron GPS, the Raymarine will automatically switch to the Simrad GPS that’s plugged into CX. Nice!
Thanks so much for plugging Panbo all over the place, Aaron. Much appreciated.
