Great Stuff: Sailor’s Solutions Website

I just recently ran across another online retailer specializing in useful and innovative products for cruisers, and they’ve got some interesting stuff. Here are some of the things that caught my eye:

For starters they have a line of “Sensibulb” LED cabin lights that people on the cruising forums have said good things about. They adapt to existing fixtures, and have a bright, warm, wide-angle light that’s a big improvement over earlier generations of LED lighting.

low voltage alarm automatic relay This low voltage alarm and relay could really save your bacon. It detects low battery voltage and will sound an alarm and flash a panel light as a warning, before automatically switching off a high-load electrical device, or switching on a generator. Don’t run those batteries flat…each time lead acid batteries are run down too far they permanently lose some capacity.

Too late you say? Your batteries already a bit creaky and crotchety? Or just replaced your old batteries, and wish the new ones would last longer? Try a desulphator.

propane canister bottle carrier marine safety A vented container for carrying small propane bottles is a great idea. You definitely don’t want propane bottles knocking around in your lockers waiting to leak and blow up your boat. This smart use of PVC pipe, attaching to a lifeline stanchion, allows a leaking bottle to vent overboard. I imagine many Navagear readers could make one of these without much trouble, but it’s nice to know you can just buy it if you don’t have the time or tools for the job.

powerful neodymium rare earth magnet

Ever had one of those oh *&#! moments as a tool or part slips down into a deep crevasse in your bilge, or worse, makes a quiet little bloop as it disappears beneath the water? No? You do have a boat, don’t you? Well, this ultra-powerful neodymium magnet might save the day.

Well, this is just a smattering of the goodies you’ll find. Check ‘em out at http://www.sailorssolutions.com.
