With my Raymarine C-80, my favorite page set underway, splits the screen vertically into two chart views. One zoomed out (with north up or course up) to give context, and the other zoomed in (course up) so I don’t hit a rock.
Well you can do the same thing with Rose Point Coastal Explorer 2009, but it’s so much better! Much more flexibility and customization possible. I can’t type a lot now, since I’m actively underway, but here’s a screenshot:
