Christiaan Conover conducted an interview with Admiral Thad Allen, Commandant of the US Coast Guard, last month. He’s just posted Part I over at the Unofficial Coast Guard Blog.

It makes for good reading, and I’m not just saying that because the admiral mentioned Navagear! (Hey, I don’t mind a bit that it draws attention to a mistake I made.)

Seriously, I think it’s great that the Coast Guard has embraced the potential of information technology and “social media” in such a big way.
